Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Cedar Crest College volleyball team lost 3-2 in five sets to non-conference Delaware Valley University on Monday night.
In the first set, the Delaware Valley University Aggies beat the Falcons 25-23. For most of the first set, the two teams were matched point-for-point before the Aggies pulled ahead for the win. The Falcons made a come back in the second set, taking the win 25-15. In the third set, Cedar Crest won 25-13. The Aggies finished the fourth set with a 25-19 win over Cedar Crest. The fifth and final set Cedar Crest and Delaware Valley were matched point-for-point before the Aggies pulled away for the 16-14 win over the Falcons.Â
Senior Maggie Olock (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty High School) recorded game-high and team-high kills with 13, as well as recording 12 digs and one block. Freshman Nicole Hill (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) finished the match with a team-high of five blocks and 10 overall kills. Junior Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City) had 22 digs, eight kills and four services aces for the Falcons. Freshman Steph Barr (Unionville, CT/Sport and Medical Sciences Academy) had 34 assists, three blocks and three services aces for Cedar Crest. Freshman Jacey Ludlam (Blackwood, NJ/Camden Catholic) recorded 21 digs for the Falcons.Â
Overall, Cedar Crest finished with 71 digs, 44 kills, 39 assists and 12 aces.Â
The next match for the Falcons is against CSAC-foe Cabrini University on Oct. 11 at neutral site, Cairn University. The match is set to begin at 5:30 PM.
