IMMACULATA, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College basketball team traveled to Immaculata University for a Colonial States Athletic Conference match up falling 57-37 to the Mighty Macs on Wednesday night.
In the first quarter junior guard
Taylor Osley (Allentown, PA/Louis E. Dieruff High School) made the first two points of the game, as freshman
Tenille Stewart scored the other five points of the quarter to trail 10-7 at the end of the first. The second quarter,
Stewart would hit a three to bring the Falcons within one point before the Mighty Macs went on a run.
Osley would also hit a late three to cut the deficit to four but would head into halftime trailing 25-17.
The third quarter saw the Falcons slip up and having some offensive issues only scoring five points would allow the home team to take the lead. The fourth quarter was more in the favor of the Falcons out scoring their opponent 15-to-12 in the quarter it wasn't enough to close the gap.
Osley capped the night with 18 points, three assists and four rebounds while
Stewart added 14 points, one assist, two steals and three rebounds. Senior forward
Kayleigh Keggan (Blairstown, NJ/Belvidere) had three points, two assists, one steal and eight rebounds.Sophomore forward
Shemeca Thompson also had eight rebounds, one block and two steals while freshman guard/forward
Rianna Kinard (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville High) had two rebounds, one assist and three steals. Freshman forward
Katherina Pierre (Middletown, NY /John S. Burke Catholic) had two points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals and freshman forward
Jaime Matson (West Milford, NJ /West Milford) had one steal.
The next game for Cedar Crest is Saturday, February 13 as they take on Neumann University at 1:00 p.m. in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match-up.
