ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College lacrosse team began their 2016 Colonial States Athletic Conference schedule with a 16-5 loss to Centenary College (N.J.) at home on Tuesday afternoon.
The Falcons scored in the fifth minute of the first half by senior attack
Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) who recieved the pass on the right side of the field from freshmen defender
Tenille Stewart for her first goal of the year. The second goal was on a free position shot by junior attack
Lauren Felix (Allentown, Pa./Saucon Valley) with 33 seconds on the clock as the ball went in the net right before halftime for her second goal of the season. Cedar Crest would score three more times in the second half, the first by freshman attack
Alexandra Zoda (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. /Roy C Ketcham Senior ) who scored her first collegiate goal with 8:41 in the half.
Samite would score the final two goals for the Falcons as her second goal of the game was in the sixth minute which was unassisted, and the hat-trick would happen with 3:40 left to play when
Zoda passed her the ball for her third goal of the day.
The next game for the Falcons is on Thursday, March 17 at 4:00 p.m. as they travel to Lancaster Bible College in a non-conference match up.
