Lacrosse Drops Non-Conference Game

ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College lacrosse team fell in a non-conference match-up against College of Saint Elizabeth, 19-14, on Thursday afternoon.

In the first half seven goals were score, the first by junior midfielder Regina Gill (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley ) scored the first of her six goals for the Falcons in the first half just six minutes into the game with no assist. Cedar Crest took a 2-1 lead when freshman attack Alexandra Zoda (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. /Roy C Ketcham Senior ) scored an unassisted goal at 23:05. Senior attack Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) scored an unassisted goal to retake the lead at 20:38. Gill scored her next goal on a free position shot in the 14th minute. Samite would score an unassisted goal in the 10th minute and another goal in the 6th minute before Gill scored an unassisted goal with just four seconds before the horn to head into halftime trailing the Eagles 10-7.

Gill scored another unassisted goal just two minutes into the second half. Senior attack Gerlie Loyola (Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor Jr/Sr ) added another goal in the 22nd minute. Gill scored an unassisted goal with 18 minutes left to play while Zoda tacked on another goal for the Falcons with 16 minutes on the clock. Samite scored an unassisted goal with 13 minutes left to play. Gill scored again on a free position shot with 4:09 left in the half. Samite scored the final goal for the Falcons with 40 seconds left but it wasn't enough to cut the deficit falling 19-14.

Cedar Crest has its next game on Saturday, April 2 at 11:00 a.m. as they welcome Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Neumann University.
