ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College lacrosse celebrated their Senior Day and Think Pink game against Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Cabrini College, falling 18-3 on Tuesday afternoon.
In the first half, senior attack
Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) fire two shots before the end of the period, the first at the 3:34 mark which was saved by the goalie. The second shot was fired with 1:23 left before halftime this one was picked off by the goalkeeper as well keeping the Falcons scoreless.
The second half saw 11 shots by the Black and Yellow with three goals by three different players. The first three shots were taken by
Samite, every way she tried the goalie seemed to be one step ahead and came away with the save. Junior midfielder
Regina Gill (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley ) attempted her first shot at 17:10 with the goalkeeper collecting another save.
Two back-to-back goals came for the Falcons, the first by Samite at 15:20 with the assist from senior midfielder
Gerlie Loyola (Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor Jr/Sr ). The next goal was by
Gill who was unassisted in the 14
th minute of the game. Loyola would looked to add another goal for Cedar Crest as she attacked the goal but the goalie came away with a save. Freshman attack
Alexandra Zoda (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. /Roy C Ketcham Senior ) took her first shot that went wide, but her next shot found the back of the goal just over 7:00 minutes left to play. Samite and Zoda both looked to tack on another point for the team but the goalie prevented both shots.
The Falcons play their final game of the season on the road with a 1:00 p.m. start time at CSAC foe Immaculata University.
