Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Cedar Crest College volleyball team lost 3-1 to fellow Colonial States Athletic Conference member Clarks Summit University on Thursday evening.
In the first set, the teams were matched point-for-point before the Clarks Summit Defenders rallied to take the win 25-17. The second set began with the Defenders taking an early lead against the Falcons who ultimately fell 25-18. The Falcons came back after two sets to win the third 25-23. In the fourth set, the Falcons came out strong and were matched point-for-point with the Defenders until they took the lead to win 25-21.
Freshman middle hitter Nicole Hill (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) had a team high with nine kills. Freshman outside hitter/setter Steph Barr (Unionville, CT/Sport and Medical Sciences Academy) led the Falcons with 32 assists. Leading the team in digs was freshman outside hitter Breanna Fields (Candor, N.Y./Candor Central) with a team high of 16.
The Falcons will play at home in a conference matchup against Gwynedd Mercy University on Wednesday, September 28. The match is slated to begin at 7:00 P.M.
