Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College field hockey team welcomed non-conference Wilson College in an overtime match up that the Falcons would fall, 2-1 in on Wednesday afternoon.
"I'm proud of how hard the girls worked today," stated second year Head Coach
Kellina Yarrish. "We continued to push until the very end. We are looking forward to our next conference game on Saturday."
In the first half the Falcons took a 1-0 lead as freshman forward
McKenna Hunt (Nazareth, Pa./Pen Argyl) took a ball that had been knocked around a few times and put it in to the back of the cage. Hunt scored at the 20:48 mark for her sixth goal of the season to head into halftime with the lead.
Cedar Crest would have two shots in the second half as they looked to extend the lead, but Wilson would tie the game in the 60
th minute of the second half forcing overtime. They would score again in the 80
th minute of overtime for the win.
The next game for the Black and Yellow is on Saturday, October 1 at 1:00 p.m. as the team faces Notre Dame of Maryland University.
