Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa - The Cedar Crest College volleyball team fell to Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Neumann University on Thursday night. The Knights defeated the Falcons in three sets by scores of 25-10, 25-11 and 25-19.
In the third set, the Falcons jumped to a 6-2 lead after scoring four points in a row. Sophomore
Nicole Hill (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) had one kill and freshman
Devyn Crowder (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) tallied three service aces. Cedar Crest then took advantage of Neumann errors, capitalizing on services aces and attacking errors. However, the Knights answered back, scoring to tie the set 14-14. The Falcons and Knights went point-for-point until Neumann took the lead and the win.
Freshman
Tiffany Hoppes (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) led the Falcons in digs with 10.
Crowder tallied five assists, three aces and two kills. Hill added six kills on the night for Cedar Crest.
The Falcons travel to fellow CSAC member Cairn University on October 7 for their next match. The first serve is set to begin at 1:00 PM.
