Box Score CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College volleyball team had a sneak peak at future conference opponent Wilson College on Tuesday night as the Falcons swept the Phoenix in three sets to improve to 2-0 on the season. The team won the first set in a close 25-21 battle, they then settled in taking the second set 25-10 and the final set by a score of 25-12.
Freshman outside hitter
Erica Nettles (Pottsville, Pa./Minersville Area) led in the scoring category tonight, she tied for the team-highs in kills and services aces. Nettles tallied six kills and five service aces while adding four digs. Tying for the team-high in kills was sophomore middle hitter
Nicole Hill (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) who added six kills, one block and one block assist while senior middle hitter
Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City) was who tied for team-high in service aces with five, she also added two kills.
Defensively, one dig separated two players for the team-high, freshman defensive specialitst
Tiffany Hoppes (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) had the slight advantage with 12 digs, she added on kill, two assists and one service ace, as freshman defensive specialist
Madison McGowan (Birdsboro, Pa./Daniel Boone) had 11 digs on the night. Freshman setter
Devyn Crowder (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) paced the Falcons with 14 assists, four kills, one service ace and two digs.
The next match for Cedar Crest is on Saturday, September 9 as they compete in a tri-match at Bryn Mawr College with the first match slated for a 1:00 p.m. start. against University of Valley Forge.
