ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College women's basketball team defeated the Immaculata University Mighty Macs, 66-58, with four Falcons scoring in double figures and season-high 11 three pointers made in the game. Cedar Crest improves to 3-12 on the year with a CSAC record of 2-6.
The top-scoring Falcon was sophomore guard
Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) (Reading, Pa. /Berks Catholic), who finished the game with 21 points, three steals, three assists, and two rebounds.
G. Cabrera also finished the night 9-11 from the free throw line. Sophomore guard
Sylera Weller (Lancaster, Pa./J.P . McCaskey) (Lancaster, Pa. /J.P. McCaskey) contributed 17 points. Seven rebounds, a steal and an assist.
Weller finished 5-6 from beyond the three-point line and 6-10 from the floor in the win. Senior center
Meghan Gregory (Buckhorn, NM/Cliff ) (Buckhorn, NM/Cliff ) netted 13 points, seven rebounds, a block, an assist and a steal while freshman guard
Natasha Barber (Dallas, TX/Ranchview) (Dallas, TX/ Ranchview) rounds out the double-figure scorers with 11 points, dishing out three assists, two rebounds and a steal.

Khnaue Robinson (Newark, N.J./Great Oaks Legacy Charter) (Newark, N.J./Great Oaks Legacy Charter) ended the game with three points from her lone three-point basket with a team-high four steals and adding five rebounds and an assist. Sophomore forward
Venus Cabrera (Reading,Pa./Berks Catholic) (Reading, Pa. /Berks Catholic) finished the contest with two points, four boards, two assists and a steal for the Black and Yellow.

The Falcons battled back and forth with the Mighty Macs in the opening quarter, leaving the game tied at 15-15. The second quarter was well-played by Cedar Crest, as they outscored Immaculata 14-8 in the second quarter, and went into the locker room with a 6-point lead, 29-23.
To start the second half, Cedar Crest shot the ball well, scoring 21 points in the 3rd quarter while holding the Mighty Macs scoring 15. The score heading to the final period was 50-38, favoring Cedar Crest. The Falcons were outscored in the final 10 minutes of the game, netting 16 points to Immaculata's 20, but Cedar Crest managed to hold on to the lead and earned the win.
Cedar Crest will begin a three-game road trip as they head to Clarks Summit University on Saturday, January 20 for their second game of the year between the two schools. Tip-off is set for 1:00 pm in Scranton.
