ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Field Hockey team was defeated on Wednesday evening, suffering a 1-0 loss Keystone College at the FalconPlex. The Falcons fall to 4-7 overall and 3-2 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action this Fall.
Â
The Falcons were outshot 4-8 with only taking two shots on the keeper, while the Giants managed to have six on cage. "It was a good game, but we still have things to work on," commented Head Coach
Amber Auchenbach. "We need to find the back of the cage more, especially when we out corner our opponent." Cedar Crest earned 12 penalty corners in the game compared to Keystone's four.
Â
Junior
Emma Ryan (Sterling, Va./Park View) was the starting goalkeeper in tonight's matchup, she made five saves on the six shots that were one cage. The only shot that got by her was on a penalty stroke goal, which gave
Ryan the loss in the decision.
Â
The Falcons will return to action on Sunday, October 14 when they close out their non-conference schedule with a home game versus Manhattanville College beginning at 2:00 PM.
