ROSEMONT, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College basketball team suffered a loss to Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent, Rosemont College, 34-73 in Alumnae Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.

The Falcons are now 2-7 on the year so far, with a conference record of 1-2. The first quarter struggle put the Black and Yellow in a hole to start, giving up 21 points and scoring just six points. Held to single digits again in the second period, Cedar Crest netted eight points but allowed the Ravens to score 18, putting the score at 14-39 heading into the locker room. The Falcons were outscored 12-16 in the third and 8-18 in the fourth quarter, putting the final score at 34-73.

Leading the Falcons in scoring was freshman
Joana Cainglet (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II), scoring 10 points off three three-pointers and a free throw while grabbing five rebounds and a steal. Just shy of scoring in double-digits was junior
Mackenzie Borger (Kresgeville, Pa./Pleasant Valley), netting nine points, three boards, one steal and a blocked shot. Junior
Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) and freshman
Amiyah Peters (Plainville, Conn./Plainville) each contributed five points in the contest.
Cabrera added a team-high seven rebounds, three steals and an assist while
Peters brought down six rebounds and an assist.

Meghan Gregory (Buckhorn, NM/Cliff ) added a bucket each with
Cabrera recording two rebounds and
Gregory nabbed five boards. Red-shirt sophomore
Jada Garrett (Dallas, TX/Ranchview) sank a free throw and had two rebounds for Cedar Crest in the loss.

The Falcons will hit the road again on Friday, December 7 when they face off with Drew University at 7:00 PM. The game will be played at Luing Gym at the College of Saint Elizabeth.
