MORRISTOWN, N.J. --- The Falcons Basketball team was defeated by Drew University, 35-73 on Friday evening in non-conference competition. The game was played at Luing Gym at the College of Saint Elizabeth.

Cedar Crest, now 2-8 on the year, were held to single digits in the first and second quarters, with the Rangers posting 20+ points in each quarters. The Black and Yellow went into the half trailing 13-46. The third quarter was their best of the game, scoring 14 points to the Rangers 16. A low scoring fourth quarter, 8-11, would give the final score of 35-73 as Drew defeated Cedar Crest.

Leading the Falcons in scoring was junior
Mackenzie Borger (Kresgeville, Pa./Pleasant Valley), who scored nine points, six rebounds and a block. Close behind
Borger was freshman
Joana Cainglet (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) with eight points, four boards, team-high two assists and a steal while junior
Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) posted seven points, five rebounds and two steals.

Scoring six points in the contest was sophomore
Jada Garrett (Dallas, TX/Ranchview), adding five rebounds and a steal with freshman
Tinesha Fortune-Saunders (West Haven, Conn./West Haven) netting three points. Leading the Black and Yellow in rebounds was graduate student
Meghan Gregory (Buckhorn, NM/Cliff ), who added a basket and a block.

The Falcon will have three weeks before their next game, when they travel up to Bowdoin, Maine to compete in the Bowdoin Invitational. Cedar Crest will open up the tournament on Friday, December 28 when they face Maine Maritime at 6:00 PM. They will then play on Saturday, December 29 in either a championship/consolation game with the opponent and time to be determined.
