ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Volleyball team defeated the Patriots of Valley Forge in straight sets to claim their 5th straight win on Wednesday evening.
The Falcons, now 5-1, claimed the 3-0 victory after a solid team effort of: 25-13, 25-11 and 25-16 in each set.
"I was very proud of the consistent energy that our team held throughout the game," commented Head Coach
Shelby Morgan.  "We were please with everyone performance."
The Black and Yellow combined for 39 kills, 47 digs, 35 assists and 14 service aces. Leading the way in kills was sophomore
Lindsey Davis (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area), who finished with 11 while junior
Nicole Hill (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) added eight kills.
Hill also contributed three aces. Sophomore
Tiffany Hoppes (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus)Â lead the team in digs, with 15 and also served three aces in the contest. Freshmen
Madison Flatt (Reinholds, Pa./Cocauco) and
Talia Watson (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) each finished in double-figures for assists,
Flatt with 16 and
Watson with 14.
Cedar Crest will hit the road for the next two weeks before returning home, as they head to Albright College on Saturday, September 15 with the match set to begin at 11:00 AM.
