YARDLEY, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Soccer team blanked the Cairn University Highlanders, 2-0, to earn their first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest of the season on Wednesday afternoon.

The Falcons, now 6-3 on the year and 1-1 in CSAC play, scored both goals in the second half of the game that was played at Maccelesfield Park in Yardley, Pa. Getting the Black and Yellow on the board first was sophomore
Daria Warner (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt), who scored her ninth goal of the season in the 68
th minute, with an assist from freshman
Michelle Yawger (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills). The Falcons would score in the 88
th minute to seal the victory with freshman
Tess Spitler's (Owrigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) first collegiate goal that was assisted by sophomore
Erika D'Angelo (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial ).

Senior goalkeeper
Morgan Maddock (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial High School) received the win in the match, making eight saves for a 1.000% save percentage.
Maddock's record improves to 6-3.

The Falcons outshot the Highlanders, 16-15 with both squads taking eight shots on goal. The Black and Yellow earned six corners to Cairn's three in the contest.

Up next, the Falcons will travel down to Baltimore to take on the Gators from the Notre Dame of Maryland on Saturday, September 29 with first whistle scheduled for 1:00 PM.
