CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Basketball squad was unable to get past Wilson College, suffering a 46-64 loss in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action at Nelson Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.

Cedar Crest is now 3-11 overall this season, with a CSAC conference record of 2-3 after the loss. The Falcons were held to six first quarter points, but a strong second quarter saw the Black and Yellow score 12 points, putting Cedar Crest down by 11 points at the intermission, 18-29. Scoring a game-high 16 points coming out of the locker room was the boost they needed, but the Phoenix would put up 22 points and push the deficit to 17 points, 34-51, after three quarters of action. Holding Wilson to 13 points in the final quarter while Cedar Crest scored 12 of their own, as the Falcons were defeated 46-64.

Nine out of 10 Falcons etched their names in the scorer's column in tonight's game, led by freshman
Joana Cainglet (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) with 10 points, three steals and a rebound. Following close behind was graduate student
Meghan Gregory (Buckhorn, NM/Cliff ) who contributed nine points, eight boards, two blocked shots and a steal. Junior
Venus Cabrera (Reading,Pa./Berks Catholic) tossed in six points for the Black and Yellow, while adding seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Three Falcons netted four points each: sophomore
Khnaue Robinson (Newark, N.J./Great Oaks Legacy Charter), junior
Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) and freshman
Amiyah Peters (Plainville, Conn./Plainville).
Robinson had four rebounds, three steals and three assists to go along with her points as
V. Cabrera added three rebounds.
Peters added three boards, two steals and an assist to end the night.

Cedar Crest also had three others score three points apiece, junior
Mackenzie Borger (Kresgeville, Pa./Pleasant Valley) with a basket and a free throw as sophomore
Natasha Barber (Dallas, TX/Ranchview) and freshman
Tiesha Fortune-Saunders (West Haven, Conn./West Haven) each hitting a three-pointer.
Barber grabbed five rebounds with her two steals and one assist while
Fortune-Saunders and
Borger each brought down four boards.
Borger also added a block, assist and steal for the Falcons.

The Falcons will have a day of rest before picking things back-up on Thursday, January 10 as Cedar Crest welcomes Clarks Summit University to Lees Gymnasium for a 7:00 PM start.
