BRYN ATHYN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Field Hockey program defeated Bryn Athyn College, 6-0, in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Saturday afternoon to close the regular season.

The Falcons finish the regular season with a 8-9 overall record and a conference record of 4-2, officially clinching the 2-seed in the CSAC Field Hockey Playoffs.

Not allowing a single shot on in the victory, Cedar Crest would blast a total of 43 shots in the game, with 31 shots going on goal. The Falcons attempted double-digit shots in three of the four quarters, with 13 shots being the most taken in the second quarter. The Black and Yellow also earned 18 total penalty corners, with seven coming in the third quarter.

Cedar Crest would open scoring early, as senior
Makenzie Kistler (Walnutport, Pa./Northampton) would score in the 3rd minute of the game after receiving a pass from sophomore
Samantha Johnson (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) to jump out to a 1-0 lead. That would be all the scoring that took place in the first quarter, but the Black and Yellow would score two more time in the second quarter.
Kistler would score her second of the game off of a backhand sweep pass from freshman
Kiley Marone (Mohrsville, PA/Tulpehocken High School) in the 27th minute. Then, just two minutes later,
Marone would score one of her own in the 29th minute off a pass from junior
Alexandra Arabio (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor) from the right side that put the Falcons up 3-0, heading into the break.

The Black and Yellow started the second half and would score another goal in the third quarter, as junior
Brice Gardner (Gardners, Pa./Biglerville ) shot through the Lions' keeper's legs to extend the lead to 4-0.
Arabio would be credited for her second assist of the contest. Three minutes into the fourth quarter,
Arabio would find the back of the cage as her shot went past the goalkeeper in the 49th minute. Freshman
Amber Cieri (Slatington, Pa./Northern Lehigh) took a backhand shot from the left-side that scored the sixth and final goal of the game for the Falcons, defeating Bryn Athyn, 6-0.  Â

Getting the start in cage was senior
Cassandra Reijgers (Hollis, N.H./Hollis Brookline), who received the victory in the decision after not facing a single shot in the contest.
Reijgers record improves to 7-8 on the year.
