BALTIMORE, Md. --- The Cedar Crest College Basketball program (0-6, 0-1 CSAC) opened Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play on Saturday afternoon with a 65-81 loss on the road at Notre Dame of Maryland University (3-3, 1-0 CSAC).

The Falcons started off trailing the Gators 0-8 before bringing the deficit to just five points at 9-14 before Notre Dame closed the quarter at 15-22. In the second quarter, the Black and Yellow cut the lead down to just two points at 20-22 before the Gators pulled further away. Cedar Crest would come to within four points, but would head into halftime trailing by double-digits, 32-43. The Black and Yellow would come out of the half and score 15 points to Notre Dame's 22, but Cedar Crest would outscore the Gators 18-16 in the fourth quarter. The Falcons would drop their first conference game of the season by a score of 65-81.

Cedar Crest was spreading the wealth, as four Falcons scored in double-digits, led by senior
Geminii Cabrera (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic).
Cabrera recorded her second double-double of the season while leading the team in three categories, with 18 points and 14 rebounds, and was one assist away from a triple-double, with nine assists, and also recorded six steals. Junior
Mackenzie Borger (Kresgeville, Pa./Pleasant Valley) finished the game with 12 points, three assists, two assists and a rebound as freshman
Kelly Reid (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) followed behind with 11 points and six rebounds. Freshman
Megan Peifer (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) rounded out the Falcons that scored in double-figures, recording 10 points and three rebounds.

Meghan Gregory (Buckhorn, NM/Cliff) posted eight points with six boards, two blocks and a steal as senior
Venus Cabrera (Reading,Pa./Berks Catholic) tossed in five points, grabbed six rebounds and three assists. Closing out the Falcons lineup are sophomores
Tiesha Fortune-Saunders (West Haven, Conn./West Haven) and
Amiyah Peters (Plainville, Conn./Plainville), with
Fortune-Saunders making one free throw for her one point, to go with her two rebounds and one assist.
Peters finished with five rebounds and added an assist to close out the game

The Falcons return home for a pair of conference games before winter break, starting on Wednesday, December 4, when the Bryn Athyn College Lions travel to Allentown The game is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM in Lees Gymnasium.
