ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Tennis program was swept, 0-9, by Gwynedd Mercy University on the Falcon Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon.

The Black and Yellow slip to 1-4 overall after the loss on their home opener of the Spring.

Starting with doubles play, Cedar Crest had first and second double each fall 3-8 and third doubles coming up short in a 5-8 decision.

For singles action,
Alyssa Epsaro (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) fell 0-6, 1-6 to her counterpart from the Griffins at first singles, followed by
Delaney Robbins (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South) at fifth-singles going down, 0-6 in both sets.
Yomari Salvador-Rivera (Reading, Pa./Reading Senior) took one game in the first set in her defeat at third singles, 1-6, 0-6 as
Telena Jones (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) claimed a game in each set of her 1-6, 1-6 loss at sixth-singles.
Mercedes Melo (Lehighton, Pa./Palmerton Area) showed a strong effort at second-singles, but was unable to claim a point for the Falcons, falling 3-6, 3-6. Fourth-singles was the last to finish, with
Maya Narasimhan (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) pushing a 5-7 first set, then falling 2-6 in the final set to finish the afternoon for the Falcons, falling 0-9 to Gwynedd Mercy.
