PHILADELPHIA, Pa. --- The three-seeded Cedar Crest College Tennis team defeated the two-seed Rosemont College, 6-1, to advance to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship game.

The Falcons played the match at the Legacy Youth Tennis Center in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, starting with the doubles flights. The duo at third-doubles claimed the first point of the afternoon (8-2) won by
Katherine Naples (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire North) and
Ashley Wilkins (Rochester, N.H./Spaulding). First-doubles then took down the Ravens top flight (8-3), won by
Mercedes Melo (Lehighton, Pa./Palmerton Area) and
Alyssa Epsaro (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) to increase the lead to 2-0. Closing out doubles action was the pair of Falcons,
Chelsea Tito (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) and
Andrea Abdale (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast ), claiming their point (8-6) to take a 3-0 lead into singles play.

Fourth-singles was the first to finish, as
Abdale was defeated (2-6, 1-6) to give the Ravens their first point of the match, 3-1.
Tito would win her singles match at the fifth flight (6-0, 6-3) to put the Falcons one point away from claiming the win. Both sixth and third singles finished simultaneously, but
Naples at the sixth flight would finish first with the (6-4, 6-3) to clinch their ticket to the CSAC Championship Game.
Maya Narasimhan (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) was the other Falcon to complete her match and defeat her Rosemont opponent at third singles (6-2, 6-3) to give Cedar Crest the 6-1 victory and a spot in the finals.

The CSAC Championship Match is slated for 1:00 PM at Legacy Youth Tennis Center in Philadelphia tomorrow, April 28. Warmups are scheduled for 12:00 PM. Here is the link to
