CAMDEN, N.J. – The Cedar Crest College tennis team lost to Rutgers-Camden, 9-0, on Saturday morning at Rutgers-Camden Community Park. The win moves the Raptors to 8-1 overall while the Falcons fall to 0-3 overall.
Rutgers-Camden only lost three games in doubles play.
The first doubles team of sophomore Sarah Ahrens (Glendora, N.J.) and senior Tiffany Trivers (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) blanked the Falcon tandem of sophomore

Maya Narasimhan (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood), 8-0. Sophomore Samantha Hoban (Cinnaminson, N.J.) and junior Laurel DiStefano (Sewell, N.J.) defeated sophomore
Lily Spagnola (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) and junior
Sasha Singh (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland), 8-3, at second doubles. Sophomore
Sam Henson (Waterbury, Conn./W.F. Keynor Technical) and Alana Riveria were handed an 8-0 loss at third doubles.
The Raptors carried momentum into singles competition, only dropping three games across the six matches. Ahrens, Trivers, senior LeAnne Hall (Pittsgrove, N.J.), and senior Hannah Cohan (Hammonton, N.J.) each won their respective singles match by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Hoban topped Narasimhan at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0 while DiStefano defeated Spagnola in a 6-0, 6-2 final at No. 4 singles for the 9-0 final score.
