ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team defeated Clarks Summit University, 9-0, on Wednesday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play at the FalconPlex to improve to 12-1-1 overall and 7-1-0 in conference competition.
"I'm so proud of how we played our last home game of the regular season," said Interim Head Coach
Sam Busillo. "Not only did we find the back of the net, but we had good build up to get there. This was a fun game to be a part of because of the energy each player provided. I'm really looking forward to Saturday to see what else this team has to give."
Graduate students
Erika D'Angelo (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) and
Adrianna Tennis (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) each netted hat tricks to lead the way for Cedar Crest.
The Falcons scored six first-half goals, and three of them came from D'Angelo. Freshman
Rebecca Verdi (Crownsville, Md./Old Mill) buried a penalty kick in the 12
th minute and D'Angelo followed with three straight goals. Tennis scored the final two goals of the frame as Cedar Crest held a comfortable lead at the break.

th minute while Kozdron and junior
Taylor Wolf (Townsend, Del./Middletown) closed out the scoring column for the Falcons in the 9-0 final.

Lauren Makely (Lake Grove, N.Y./Sachem North) (Lake Grove/Sachem North) picked up the win, converting one save. Sophomore
Morgan Bentley (Chesterfield, N.J./Northern Burlington County Regional) played the second half in goal and finished with one save. Freshman Kayla White-Regan (Morrow, Ohio) made 12 saves in the loss.
The Falcons' defense allowed five shots to be taken in the game, as they blasted 34 total shots and had 21 shots on goal. Cedar Crest also earned seven corner kicks in the match and did not allow the Defenders to earn a corner at all.
The Falcons will close out the regular season on Saturday, October 30 when they travel to Rosemont College for a 2:00 p.m. conference contest.
