ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team shut out Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Rosemont College, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon in its regular season finale at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
"This win was a total team effort," said Interim Head Coach
Sam Busillo. "Finding the back of the net required persistence and endless effort. We are so happy we achieved the goal of finishing at the top of the conference. This team deserved that spot and put their hearts into everything to land it. I am so proud of them."
Following a scoreless first half, the Falcons found the back of the net four times. Senior
Brittney Dunleavy (Auburn, Pa./Blue Mountain) netted her first of two on the afternoon in the 72
nd with the assist going to graduate student

Rebecca Verdi (Crownsville, Md./Old Mill) scored in the 77
th minute on an unassisted marker while junior
Taylor Wolf (Townsend, Del./Middletown) and Dunleavy picked up the final goals to close out the scoring.
Junior goalkeeper
Lauren Makely (Lake Grove, N.Y./Sachem North) registered her ninth shutout of the year and did not see a shot on goal in the contest. Senior Emma Lindsay (Oreland, Pa.) was credited with the loss for the Ravens, making 10 saves.
Cedar Crest held a 23-2 advantage in the shot category and had five corners to the Ravens' zero.
Cedar Crest (13-1-1 overall, 8-1-0 CSAC) have clinched the No. 1 seed for the upcoming CSAC Championship Tournament and will host the lowest remaining seed in the semifinal round on Wednesday, November 3. The first-round matchups feature No. 3 seed Bryn Athyn College hosting No. 6 seed Rosemont College and No. 4 seed Cairn University welcoming in No. 5 seed Notre Dame. Both first round games will take place on Monday, November 1.
