BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College tennis team fell to Moravian University, 9-0, on Sunday morning at the Hoffman Tennis Courts.
In doubles play, both doubles pairs were unable to earn a point, falling 8-0.
Maya Narasimhan (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) and
Lily Spagnola (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) suffered a lost at first doubles while
Sam Henson (Waterbury, Conn./W.F. Keynor Technical) and
Sasha Singh (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) lost at second doubles, 8-0. The Greyhounds won the third doubles point via forfeit.
The Falcons had three student-athletes earn points, but no one was able to tab a win. Spagnola, Singh, and Alana Riveria all lost in straight sets at second, third, and sixth singles. Narasimhan fought hard in the first set, falling 7-5 and then lost 6-2 in the second set at fourth singles. Henson dropped her match at fifth singles.
Cedar Crest (0-2 overall) will remain on the road and will head to Rutgers-Camden on Saturday, October 16 at noon.
