Falcons are playing in the programs' first CSAC Championship Game

CSAC Championship: No. 3 Cedar Crest Heads to No. 1 Wilson Saturday (1 PM)

ALLENTOWN, Pa. —  The No. 3 Cedar Crest College field hockey team will travel to top-seed seeded Wilson College on Saturday, November 6 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament Championship game at 1:00 p.m. Here's a preview of Saturday's Championship game:

The Matchup

Cedar Crest currently holds an overall record of 9-8 while finishing the regular season with a CSAC mark of 5-2. Wilson comes into the contest with a 17-0 overall record (7-0 CSAC). In the regular season meeting between the two teams on October 5, the Phoenix edged the Falcons, 2-1 (RECAP).

The Falcons enter the CSAC Championship game after a 3-2 overtime victory over No. 2 Keystone College in the semifinals. Junior Kiley Marone (Mohrsville, PA/Tulpehocken High School) netted the first two goals while classmate Amber Cieri (Slatington, Pa./Northern Lehigh) scored the game-winner for the Falcons to send Cedar Crest to the programs' first CSAC Championship game appearance (RECAP).

Wilson defeated Sweet Briar College 1-0 in their CSAC semifinal to earn their way to the Championship game behind the game-winning goal from junior Alexis Pflumm (Camden, Del.).
