Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team took down Ursinus College in straight sets at Lees Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.
The Falcons needed just three sets for to take down the Bears, 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, and 25-20) to improve to 5-3 this season.
Leading the Falcons in kills were sophomore
Ava Grapsy (Macungie, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and freshman
Akashia Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic Institute ), as they both registered nine on the match. Junior
Kelsee Schouppe (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) followed with seven. Senior
Talia Watson (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) dished out a team-high 16 digs while graduate student
Tiffany Hoppes (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) led the way on the defensive end with 20 digs.
Cedar Crest will be back in action on Saturday, September 18 when they head to Alvernia University for a tri-match against the Red Wolves and Gwynedd Mercy University at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., respectively.
