ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College field hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision to visiting Moravian University on Wednesday night at the FalconPlex. The win moves the Greyhounds to 5-2-2 on the season while the Falcons slip to 2-4 overall.
Freshman Sydney Anderson (St. James, N.Y.) put Moravian on the board in the ninth minute. Sophomore Sarah Bietka (Long Valley, N.J.) directed the ball at the net and Anderson redirected it in front and put the opportunity past Falcons' freshman goalkeeper

The Greyhounds padded its lead in the 17
th minute when junior Maddie Call (Phillipsburg, N.J.) crossed the ball in front senior Ava Edwards (Silver Spring, Md.) flipped a shot high and left behind Rifino to increase the advantage to 2-0.
Moravian tacked on another in the 27
th minute when Bietka scored, which came off an assist from Call.
The Greyhounds added its final marker in the 55
th minute on a penalty stroke off the stick of Call for the 4-0 final.
Rifino recorded three saves while junior Brooke Wilkinson (Dornsife, Pa.) made one stop for Moravian.
The Greyhounds had an 11-5 advantage in shots while the teams were even in corners with five apiece.
Cedar Crest will hit the road for its next contest, a non-conference tilt at Marywood University on Saturday, September 25 at noon.
