Field Hockey Drops Non-Conference Tilt to Moravian

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College field hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision to visiting Moravian University on Wednesday night at the FalconPlex. The win moves the Greyhounds to 5-2-2 on the season while the Falcons slip to 2-4 overall.

The Greyhounds padded its lead in the 17th minute when junior Maddie Call (Phillipsburg, N.J.) crossed the ball in front senior Ava Edwards (Silver Spring, Md.) flipped a shot high and left behind Rifino to increase the advantage to 2-0.

Moravian tacked on another in the 27th minute when Bietka scored, which came off an assist from Call.

The Greyhounds added its final marker in the 55th minute on a penalty stroke off the stick of Call for the 4-0 final.

Rifino recorded three saves while junior Brooke Wilkinson (Dornsife, Pa.) made one stop for Moravian.

The Greyhounds had an 11-5 advantage in shots while the teams were even in corners with five apiece.
