CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team played Wilson College to a scoreless draw on Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match at Chambersburg High School.
The Phoenix held a 12-11 edge in shots on the contest while the Falcons had one corner kick to Wilson's zero. Senior
Lauren Makely (Lake Grove, N.Y./Sachem North) had a strong performance, making seven saves while sophomore Rebecca Marakovitz (New Market, Md.) was credited with six stops.
Cedar Crest managed six shots on net, three apiece by senior
Taylor Wolf (Townsend, Del./Middletown) and graduate student
Ashley Whittaker (Huntersville, N.C. /Hopewell ).
Cedar Crest (5-3-2 overall, 2-0-1 CSAC) will have a week off and will return to the pitch at Bryn Athyn College on Saturday, October 8 at 1:00 p.m. Wilson (4-3-2 overall, 2-0-1 CSAC) heads to Trinity University for a non-conference match on Wednesday, October 5 at 4:30 p.m.
