ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team battled visiting New Jersey City University to a 1-1 draw in a non-conference tilt on Saturday afternoon at the FalconPlex.
The Falcons got on the board in the 27
th minute on a marker from sophomore
Linsey Nester (Mohrsville, Pa./Hamburg). The 1-0 advantage stood until junior Kim Brites (Carteret, N.J.) netted the equalizer in the 49
th minute.
The score stayed tied through the remainder of regulation, as the contest ended in a tie.
The Gothic Knights held a 14-9 edge in shots and had seven corner kicks to the Falcons' zero.

Bella Bozen (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) picked up seven stops for Cedar Crest.
Cedar Crest (2-1-1 overall) will hit the road for the first time in 2022 with a match at Alvernia University on Tuesday, September 13 at 7:00 p.m. New Jersey City (1-1-2 overall) will have a quick turnaround as they host the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Sunday, September 11 with a kick-off time of 1:00 p.m.
