ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team played Rosemont College to a 1-1 draw in a United East Conference-Skye Division match on Saturday afternoon at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
The Falcons jumped on the scoreboard in the 32
nd minute on a goal from junior
Abril Riley (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman), which marked her second goal of the season. The tally was assisted by sophomore
Brielle Davies (Catasauqua, Pa./Catasauqua).
The Ravens netted the equalizer in the 44
th minute as first-year Riley Dunn found the back of the net off an assist from sophomore Deaglan McClenahan (Lumberton, N.J.) to knot the contest at one.
Rosemont held a slim 13-11 edge in shots while the Falcons had three corner kicks to the Ravens' zero.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Bella Bozen (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) made seven stops for Cedar Crest while first-year Emily Rossino (Blackwood, N.J.) converted eight saves for Rosemont.
Cedar Crest (2-3-6 overall, 2-0-4 United East Conference-Skye Division) returns to the pitch on Wednesday, October 18 in a road match at Notre Dame of Maryland University at 4:00 p.m. Rosemont (3-9-2 overall, 2-2-2 United East Conference-Skye Division) will travel to face Clarks Summit University in a league contest on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
