ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College basketball team powered to an 83-53 victory over Rosemont College on Thursday night in United East Conference-Skye Division play at Lees Gymnasium.

Caylie Long (Powder Springs, Ga./Hillgrove) added a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds. She also had four assists, two steals, and a block. Junior
Rachel Bilger (Philadelphia, Pa./Upper Dublin) chipped in 10 points, seven boards, and a steal.
Junior Mojisola Shokeye (Yonkers, N.Y.) paced the Ravens with 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
With the score 5-4 in favor of Cedar Crest, the Falcons rattled off a 10-0 run to build a 15-4 advantage, which was finished off by a layup by first-year
Megan Perrine (Mount Vision, N.Y./Gilbertsville-Mount Upton) with 3:35 to play in the opening quarter. The home team stayed in front comfortably for the remainder of the frame and entered the second stanza with a 21-10 lead.
The Falcons stretched its margin to as many as 17 in the second quarter and would lead 36-23 at the break.
Cedar Crest held Rosemont to 24-percent shooting in the third quarter. The Falcons started the frame on a 12-0 run, capped off by a triple from Tsoukalas with 6:47 on the clock to push the score to 48-23. The lead reached as many as 26 after a free throw from Tsoukalas with 1:06 to play, but a late basket from Rosemont made the score 57-33 with one quarter to play.
Cedar Crest kept its foot on the gas in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Ravens 26-20 and the Falcons extended its lead to as many as 30 before the final buzzer as first-year
Aleice Cherry (Raleigh, N.C./Oscar Smith) knocked down two late baskets, the second being with three seconds on the clock to stretch the score to 83-53, the eventual final
The Falcons finished with 22 assists on 31 field goals. Graduate student
Nicole Sachman (Niles, Mich./Brandywine) handed out seven assists to lead the way while Tsoukalas, sophomore
Jordan McGhee (Copperas Cove, Texas/Copperas Cove), and Long had four each.
Rosemont shot 34 percent for the game and turned the ball over 28 times. Sophomore Danaijah Wise (Philadelphia, Pa.) finished with 13 points, three rebounds, and a steal while sophomore Lakay Holloway (Upper Darby, Pa.) contributed 11 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Cedar Crest (1-5 overall, 1-3 United East-Skye Division) will close out the first semester of action on Saturday, December 9 at home against Wilson College at 1:00 p.m. Rosemont (3-7 overall, 2-2 United East-Skye Division) returns to action at Cairn University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
