ASTON, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Neumann University on Wednesday afternoon.
The Knights held a 13-9 edge in the shot category. Senior
Olivia Kelly (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) and
Abril Riley (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman) tallied three shots each, with two coming on goal. Juniors
Linsey Nester (Mohrsville, Pa./Hamburg) and
Grace Nieman (Mount Airy, Md./South Carroll) entered the shot column with one apiece, while sophomore
Lauren Davis (Oley, Pa./Oley Valley) registered a single shot to close the category for the Falcons. Neumann had four corner kicks to Cedar Crest's two.
Sophomore
Bella Bozen (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) made five saves for the Falcons. Sophomore Lex Navarro (Valley Stream, N.Y.) turned in five saves for the Knights.
Cedar Crest (0-3-2 overall) starts conference play with its next contest, which will take place at Cairn University on Tuesday, September 26 at 4:00 p.m. Neumann (2-3-1 overall) returns to action on at home against Bryn Athyn College on Saturday, September 23 at 4:00 p.m.
