LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team opened United East Conference – Skye Division play with a 0-0 tie at Cairn University on Tuesday afternoon at the G. Patrick Stillman Athletic Complex.
The Highlanders doubled up the Falcons in the shot category, 10-5. Cairn had four corner kicks to Cedar Crest's three.
Senior
Olivia Kelly (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) paced the Falcons with a pair of shots while sophomore
Brielle Davies (Catasauqua, Pa./Catasauqua) and juniors
Madison Balliet (Palmerton, Pa./Palmerton Area) and
MacKayla Reed (Duncansville, Pa./Hollidaysburg Area Senior) each had one.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Bella Bozen (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) was credited with four saves for Cedar Crest. Senior Isabelle Portis (Midland Park, N.J.) made two stops in goal for Cairn.
Cedar Crest (0-3-3 overall, 0-0-1 United East-Skye Division) will travel to Keystone College for a conference match on Saturday, September 30 at 11:00 a.m. Cairn (1-3-2 overall, 0-0-1 United East-Skye Division) hosts Clarks Summit University in a league tilt on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
