ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College soccer team dropped a non-conference match to Penn College in a 2-0 final on Tuesday night at the FalconPlex.
The Wildcats put up one goal each half. Junior Wiley Egan (Northumberland, Pa.) put the visitors on the board in the 20
th minute and the assist was credited to junior Olivia Casella (South Williamsport, Pa.). First-year Megan Kurian (Royersford, Pa.) scored the second goal of the game from classmate Sierra Klinger (Herndon, Pa.) in the 81
st minute to make the score 2-0 for the final goal of the contest
Junior Morgan Solano (Shavertown, Pa.) picked the win in goal for the Wildcats, making two saves. Junior
Bella Bozen (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) made 11 saves in the loss for Cedar Crest.
The Wildcats outshot the Falcons 26-2 in the contest. Penn College had eight corner kicks to Cedar Crest's zero.
Cedar Crest (3-4-2 overall) will travel to Cairn University for a United East Conference contest on Saturday, October 12 for a 5:00 p.m. start. Penn College (9-0-4 overall) will return to action on Saturday, October 9 at Notre Dame of Maryland University for a United East Conference matchup. The match is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
