FREDERICK, Md. – The Cedar Crest College field hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to Hood College in a non-conference contest at Thomas Athletic Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Blazers tallied its first goal of the game at 1:54 when sophomore Lillie Kodrin (Ijamsville, Md.) found the back of the cage off assists from first-year Emma Massey (Felton, Del.) and sophomore Madeline Moreno (Mansfield, N.J.).
Hood then tacked an insurance goal in the fourth quarter at 53:39 as Kodrin set up first-year Bianca Scally (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) to put the Blazers in front 2-0, the eventual final.
Junior Kindal Davis (Suffolk, Va.) was credited with the win in goal for Hood, not facing a shot. Sophomore
Shelby Heater (Lehighton, Pa./Lehighton Area) recorded 15 saves for the Falcons in the loss.
The Blazers outshot Cedar Crest 34-6, and had 11 penalty corners to the Falcons' seven.

Lauren Jackson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) led the visitors with two shots while sophomore
Sydney Jeker (Sciota, Pa./Pleasant Valley), sophomore
Reagan Ferst (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area), junior
Olivia Horninger (Friedens, Pa./Northern Lehigh), and junior
Olivia Wanner (Lyons, Pa./Kutztown Area) each had one.
Cedar Crest (3-6 overall) will return to the field on Wednesday, October 2 at Delaware Valley University at 7:00 p.m. Hood (6-3 overall) returns to action on Saturday, October 5 at home against Delaware Valley University at 1:00 p.m.
