CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College cross country team finished sixth out of eight teams at the DeSales University Invitational, amassing 165 points as a squad.
Sophomore
Giada Smith (Springtown, Pa./Palisades) paced the Falcons with a 25
th-place finish, crossing the line in 26:29.00. Sophomore
Erica Cook (Deming, Wash./Mount Baker) took 42
nd, clocking a time of 28:06.10. First-year
Lillian Waugh (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area) was 54
th (29:07.80). Senior
Shayla Simek (Lehighton, Pa./Lehighton Area) was the fourth runner to cross for Cedar Crest, completing the meet in 31:59.00. Sophomore
Abby Adams (Suffolk, Va./Lakeland) rounded out the top five for the Falcons, placing 72
nd (34:16.20).
Sophomore
Arianna Gonzalez (Fallsburg, N.Y./Fallsburg Junior Senior) was the final Falcon to cross the finish line, registering a time of 37:35.20.
Cedar Crest will have its final tune-up before the United East Conference Championship Meet when the Falcons compete in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational, hosted by Gettysburg College, on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m.
