MEDIA, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College cross country finished sixth at the United East Conference Championship Meet hosted by Penn State Brandywine on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons collected 119 points as a team.
Sophomore
Erica Cook (Deming, Wash./Mount Baker) paced Cedar Crest with a 12
th-place finish, crossing the finish line in 26:59.27. Classmate
Giada Smith (Springtown, Pa./Palisades) followed in 13
th with a time of 27:09.06. First-year
Lillian Waugh (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area) completed the course in 29:41.89, which placed her 27
th. Sophomore
Kasia Dos Santos (Slatington, Pa./Northern Lehigh) registered a time of 31:10.78, taking 36
th. Senior
Shayla Simek (Lehighton, Pa./Lehighton Area) closed out the top five runners for the Falcons with a time of 32:46.40, finishing 42
nd.
Sophomores
Abby Adams (Suffolk, Va./Lakeland) and
Arianna Gonzalez (Fallsburg, N.Y./Fallsburg Junior Senior) were the final two runners in the field for Cedar Crest. Adams ran a time of 34:50.05 while Gonzalez finished in 39:38.52.
Cedar Crest will have a week off from competition before concluding its season at the NCAA Division III Metro Regional Championships hosted by Rowan University on Saturday, November 15.
