ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team has claimed the No. 8 seed for the United East Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament and will host ninth-seeded Penn State Berks in a First Round matchup on Wednesday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m.

The Falcons and Nittany Lions played back on October 8 with Cedar Crest coming away with a 3-0 sweep (25-20, 25-17, 26-24). Senior Ellise Everett (Orlando, Fla./Lake Nona) led the way for the Falcons with 12 kills while classmate Tianlly Davila (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Governor Thomas Johnson) contributed a season-high 10 service aces to go along with 22 assists, seven digs, two kills, and one block. First-year Phoebe Pietila (Hayesville, N.C./Hayesville) registered a match-high 24 digs.

The winner of the First Round match will face top-seeded Penn State Harrisburg in the Quarterfinal Round on Saturday, November 8.
