ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Junior Maiya Piccarreta (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone Area) of the Cedar Crest College volleyball team was named as an Academic All-District® selection by College Sports Communicators (CSC), as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Piccarreta played in all 29 matches during the 2025 season, tallying 50.5 points, 30 kills, 13 assists, 20 service aces, 216 digs, and one block. Academically, she is an art therapy major with a minor in psychology and has a 3.79 GPA.

To be selected Academic All-District®, a student-athlete had to have been at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the games or must have started at least 66 percent of the games for their team.
