ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College tennis team returned to the win column with a 5-2 victory over Bryn Athyn College in a United East Conference match on Wednesday afternoon.

Grace Huff (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area), 6-2. Cedar Crest answered by taking the final two doubles matches. Sophomore
Cam Beverage (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) and senior
Corinne O'Connor (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) topped junior Keren Abraham (Philadelphia, Pa.) and first-year Ashley Agondanou at the No. 2 spot, 6-2. Sophomore
Aleice Cherry (Raleigh, N.C./Oscar Smith) and senior
Gracelynn Pauley (New Oxford, Pa./South Western) teamed up at third doubles for a 6-2 triumph, topping junior Karisma Godown and first-year Gretchen Varona (Camaguey, Cuba).
The home squad took four of the six singles matches to capture the team victory. Daum took down Barnard at the top spot, 6-2 and 6-3. Keal beat O'Connor, 6-1 and 6-2 at second singles. Huff defeated Abraham, 6-1 and 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Beverage topped Agondanou at the fourth spot, 6-1 and 6-2. Pauley captured the point at No. 5 singles over Godown with a 6-2, 6-0 win. Cherry closed out the match with a 6-4, 6-1 victory, topping Varona at sixth singles.
Cedar Crest (2-6 overall, 2-4 United East) will next face St. Mary's College of Maryland in a road match on Friday, April 18 at 4:00 p.m. Bryn Athyn (1-7 overall, 1-6 United East) returns to action at Kean University on Thursday, April 17 at 4:00 p.m.
