ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The Cedar Crest College tennis team fell to St. Mary's College of Maryland 7-0 on Saturday at the Cedar Crest Tennis Courts. The Falcons were unable to secure any victories in singles or doubles play.
The Seahawks took two doubles matches to capture the point to go up 1-0. First-year Addyson Harden (Lexington Park, Md.) and Lily Ganjbaksh (Potomac, Md.) topped senior
Megan Perrine (Mount Vision, N.Y./Gilbertsville-Mount Upton) and graduate student
Gracelynn Pauley (New Oxford, Pa./South Western), 6-0 at first singles. Sophomore Zoe Wilson (Clarksburg, Md.) and sophomore Lily Spedden (Cambridge, Md.) got by juniors
Cam Beverage (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) and
Grace Huff (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) at No. 2 doubles, 6-2.
St. Mary's captured four of the singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 finals and two by forfeit to win 7-0.
Cedar Crest (0-3 overall, 0-1 United East) will travel to face Penn State Brandywine on Wednesday, March 25 at 4:00 p.m. St. Mary's College of Maryland (4-4 overall, 1-0 United East) next hosts Notre Dame of Maryland University on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
