CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Cedar Crest College lacrosse team fell to Wilson College with a final score of 9-4 on Saturday at Kris' Meadow. The Falcons managed two player-up goals in the third and fourth quarters but were unable to close the gap against Wilson's strong offensive performance.
The match between Cedar Crest and the Phoenix commenced with Wilson gaining an early advantage as senior Paige Ney (Biglersville, Pa.) scored the first goal at 14:05, assisted by junior Alaina Marek (Bealeton, Va.). The Falcons' sophomore goalkeeper

Cedar Crest began the second quarter with a draw control by Dotter, aiming to shift momentum after an early goal by Ney. The Falcons' offensive efforts were met with resistance, but Terranova managed to find the back of the net with an assist from Burk, leveling the score at 1–1.
As the quarter progressed, both teams struggled to maintain possession, with turnovers and missed opportunities. Despite a solid defensive stand by Cedar Crest, Wilson reclaimed the lead with a late goal by junior Alyvia Henneman (Mechanicsburg, Pa.). The quarter concluded with the Phoenix leading 3–1.
The third quarter began with Wilson gaining control early, capitalizing on a player-up opportunity with junior Sadie Fike (McClure, Pa.) scoring from a free position, extending its lead. The Falcons faced challenges with turnovers but made a crucial defensive stop when Kreibick caused a turnover, allowing senior
Olivia Moyer (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter Panas) to recover the ground ball. Despite receiving two yellow cards, Cedar Crest regrouped, as Terranova found the net, narrowing the score to 6–2.
Momentum shifted when Burk scored another goal for the Falcons, assisted by junior
Kadee Schrader (Northampton, Pa./Northampton Area), cutting the deficit further. However, the Phoenix responded with a free position goal by Ney, bringing the score to 7–3. Cedar Crest managed to gain possession again with Burk's draw control, but a turnover followed, preventing further scoring as the quarter concluded with Wilson maintaining a 7–3 lead.
The Falcons began the fourth quarter with a player-up opportunity, capitalizing as Terranova scored with an assist from Dotter. This early goal cut into the Phoenix's lead and provided momentum for the Falcons. However, Wilson responded quickly with a goal by Henneman, maintaining its advantage.
Cedar Crest continued to apply pressure, with Terranova and Demarest each taking additional shots, though none found the net. The Phoenix defense proved resilient, as it managed to limit further scoring attempts by the Falcons. Wilson added to its lead with a goal by Marek, bringing the score to 9–4 by the end of the quarter.
Terranova led Cedar Crest with three goals on six shots, including converting on five shots on goal. Demarest contributed to the offensive efforts with seven shots, three of which were on target. Burk added versatility to the attack by scoring one goal and providing an assist, hitting the target with all four of her shots. In goal, Feddor recorded 10 saves from 28 shots faced, showcasing a strong defensive presence.
Ney made a significant impact for Wilson with three goals and an assist, demonstrating offensive efficiency with five of her six shots on target. Vandevander contributed a crucial game-winning goal and an assist, with all five of his shots reaching the goal. Fike also stood out by netting two goals, including a player-up goal, from nine shots, showcasing her ability to create scoring opportunities. Henneman added two goals, converting four of her six shots on goal, further solidifying her role in Wilson's attack.
Looking ahead, Cedar Crest (8-6 overall, 0-2 United East) will face Immaculata University on the road on Wednesday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. Wilson College (6-9 overall, 2-1 United East) will return home to host Elmira College on Saturday, April at 11:00 a.m.
