ABINGTON, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College tennis team fell to Penn State Abington, 5-2, in a United East Conference contest on Wednesday. The Falcons secured wins at the No. 4 and No. 5 singles positions and claimed a victory in the second doubles match.

Cam Beverage (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) secured a 7-6(4) victory for the Falcons at No. 2 doubles. Meanwhile, senior
Megan Perrine (Mount Vision, N.Y./Gilbertsville-Mount Upton) and sophomore
Ella Bincarosky (Coopersburg, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) fell 6-2 at first doubles and Penn State Abington took No. 3 doubles by forfeit to grab the doubles point.
In singles play, Perrine faced a tough opponent at first singles, with a 6-1, 6-0 loss. Beverage competed at No. 2 singles but ultimately fell 6-3, 7-5. Wilson also encountered difficulty at third singles, losing 6-0, 6-1.
Junior
Grace Huff (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) delivered a notable performance at No. 4 singles, earning a 6-2, 2-6, 10-5 triumph, marking the Falcons' first singles win. Bincarosky followed with a win at fifth singles, overcoming her opponent 4-6, 6-2, 10-2. The Nittany Lions won the No. 6 singles match by forfeit for the 5-2 win.
Cedar Crest (0-8 overall, 0-6 United East) stays on the road for a conference match at Penn College on Saturday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m. Penn State Abington (3-9 overall, 2-4 United East) next faces Penn State Brandywine on the road on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
