LATHAM, N.Y. – Graduate student Ryley Schwalm (Pottsville, Pa./North Schuylkill) of the Cedar Crest College cross country team has been recognized as the United East Conference Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.

Schwalm made an immediate impact in her debut with the Falcons, capturing the individual title at the DeSales University Invitational. In her first meet at Cedar Crest, she crossed the finish line in 23:10.04, setting a new program record for the fastest 6K time in program history.

Schwalm will next compete at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on Friday, October 2 at 10:15 a.m.
