Cedar Crest College Athletics

Alisa "Lee" Sanford comes to Cedar Crest after being a Track Coach at Valley City State University, accomplishing the following:

• All- American in Men’s Javelin
• Three NAIA National Qualifiers (Men’s Javelin and Men’s High Jump)
• School record in Men’s Javelin
• North Star Conference Record in Men’s Javelin and Men’s High Jump
• Men’s Javelin Conference Champion
• Men’s High Jump Conference Champion
• Top eight conference finishers
  • Indoor
    • Men’s: High Jump, Triple Jump, and Long Jump
    • Women’s: High Jump, Triple Jump, Long Jump, and Pentathlon
  • Outdoor
    • Men’s: Javelin, High Jump, Triple Jump, and Long Jump
    • Women’s: Javelin, High Jump, Triple Jump, and Long Jump

 Sanford graduated from Brenu University with a Bachelors in Business Administration graduated in 2017 and was a two-sport student-athlete. Sanford played Basketball and Track first two years at New England College and last two years at Brenau University. Here are some of her accomplishments:

    • Team Captain
    • Won Outdoor Conference Champions 5 times in a row (college record)
    • All Conference in High Jump, Triple Jump, Long Jump, and Javelin
    • School Record in High Jump (Indoor and Outdoor)
    • School Record in DMR (Distance Medley Relay)
    • NAIA National Qualifier

Sanford  stated, "I'm excited to be here and be apart of this new program. Having this opportunity here means a great deal to me. As a former athlete who was on a new track and field program in both college and track this is just one of my goals to say I was able to make a impact on a new team as an athlete and as a coach. I can't wait to continue being apart of the sport I love and helping these young ladies grow."
