Why wrestling at Cedar Crest College: Why I started wrestling at Cedar Crest was to try something different and keep myself occupied before lacrosse season. However, with one season down, I now wrestle for Cedar Crest to break records that have never been set. I hope to accomplish a lot, especially with the support of Coach Depew, who has believed in me and gave me the courage to push myself more than I ever thought I could.
Favorite wrestling moment of 2022-2023: My favorite moment of wrestling in 2022-2023 would have to be our team bonding days over the holidays. We had lots of fun playing ultimate frisbee for a good cardio day, but even better team bonding. As well as our Just Dance finisher we did after practice during winter break.
2023-2024 goal: My 2023-2024 goal is to beat my current win to lose ratio. I hope to make it to nationals and compete to the best of my ability.

Most enjoyable part of wrestling practice: I believe the most “enjoyable” part of practice would be when our coaches wrestle with us. Their experience pushes us more than the other girls on the team, considering most of our team is new to wrestling. The coaches hand fighting and shots are completely different, which prepares you for matches, especially because they focus on pushing you in areas you may lack.
