Lobien and Collins Lead Falcons to Split

The Cedar Crest College Volleyball team looking to extend their winning streak to four did just that over the weekend by defeating NYU-Poly 3-0.  

The Falcons took set one 25-17, set two 25-17 and set three 25-10.  For the Falcons in game one of the double header Kiersten Collins (Forest City, PA/Forest City Regional) finished with 10 kills while Jessica Lobien (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton) also collected 10 kills.  Freshman Celina Danish (Allentown, PA/Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts) led the team again in assists with 26 in game one.  Ericka Clayton (Zionsville, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) would get into the action finishing with a game high 27 digs.

In game two the Falcons would square off with Montclair State.

Set one the Falcons would drop 25-23, set two 25-15 and set three 25-14.  Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) finished with four kills, while Collins, Lobien and Rebecca Grady (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) all finished with three kills each.  Clayton once again led the team in digs with seven, while Wehry finished with six.

The Falcons are now 4-4 overall and will look to improve their 3-1 away record when they travel to Kings College on the 20th.
