The Cedar Crest College Lacrosse team took to the road for the 2015 opener in a non-conference show down with Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA.
The Rams entered today 0-1 after a 18-6 loss on the road at Richard Stockton. Â Two Rams came into today's game scoring, leader Corinne Militana who netted four against Stockton and Taylor Teliszewski, who would add two in the loss. Â
Today's contest featured more of the same for the Rams as Teliszewski would add four more and MIltana would collect two. Â The Rams would be led by Kara Imes who would lead all players with five goals on nine shots. Â In total, seven players for Delaware Valley would find the back of the net for 22 total goals.
For the Falcons, 2014's top two leading scorers would continue that trend into the 2015 season as
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) would lead the team with four goals, five groundballs and four draw controls while classmate
Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) would add three goals, four groundballs and two draw controls. Â Regina GIll would add two goals for the Falcons and senior
Chelsea Thompson (Coatesville, PA/Collegium Charter School) would add her first goal of 2015.
In goal, freshman
Kristen Payes (Brentwood, NY/Brentwood High School) would get her first career start and finish with nine saves in sixty minutes.
The Falcons now sit at 0-1 overall and will travel to Myrtle Beach, SC for a training trip during Spring Break. Â They will return to host Bryn Athyn on March 15th for the 2015 home opener.
