Falcons Drop Double Header to Cyclones

Hackettstown, NJ

Looking to continue their hot streak, the Cedar Crest College Softball team took to the road for their third double-header in as many days.  The Falcons would battle CSAC's #3 overall ranked Centenary College Cyclones.

In game one, the Falcons would be held scoreless until the fourth inning when freshman Amanda Kustanbauter (Muncy, PA/Muncy High School) would step in and double to deep right center scoring classmate Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City) for their first and only run of the game.

Individually for the Falcons, Lily Acosta (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty High School), Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City), Amanda Kustanbauter (Muncy, PA/Muncy High School) and Olivia Lopez (Brandywine, MD/Gwynn Park High School) would provide the offense for the Falcons, each collecting a hit in the 2-1 loss.

On the mound, Kustanbauter pitched 4.2 innings in the loss, allowing nine hits, nine runs, four earned while walking four and striking out two.

In game two, once again Acosta, Schnaubelt, Lopez, Kaylee Martinez (Hemet, CA/West Valley) and Rachel Stump (Fleetwood, PA/Fleetwood) would each collect a hit in the second game.

On the mound, April Daly (Burlington, NJ/Holy Cross High School) would go 4.1 innings allowing seven hits, eight runs, six of which were earned while walking four and striking out two.

With the sweep the Falcons fall to 7-17 overall and 6-10 in the CSAC.  They will retunr to action on the 21st when they travel to Baptist Bible for a CSAC double-header against the Defenders in Clarks Summit, PA.  Game one is scheduled to begin at 3 PM with Game two scheduled to start at 5 PM.
