In a rain soaked home game, the Cedar Crest College Lacrosse team hosted first year program Keystone.
The Falcons wasted no time getting on the board early and often collecting six goals in the first half and then seven more for in the second half. Â The Falcons would outscore the Giants 6-3 in the first half and then 7-1 in the second half. Â In the first half the Falcons and Giants would finish even with ten shots a piece on goal while the Falcons would collect four first half draw controls and five second half draw controls.
Individually for the Falcons,
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) would lead all scorers with seven goals on eight shots thanks in large part to finishing 3-3 in Free Position Shots. Â Classmate
Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) would finish second in the game with four goals on nine shots. Â
Regina Gill (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley High School) and
Kim Barry (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack Area) would round out the scoring for the Falcons with one goal a piece. Â
As a team the Falcons would collect 33 groundballs led by Barry's six and
Samantha VanBeers (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) five. Â
Rebecca Grady (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) would add four in the win.
The Falcons improve to 1-7 overall and 1-5 in the CSAC and will host Notre Dame of Maryland on Saturday the 11th with game time scheduled to begin at 1 pm.
